Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells
The Holiday Hounds LOVE holidays!!!! Lots and lots of friends and family to play with and spoil them all ROTTEN !! Is that possible??? This week they also got to go with me to one of our Therapy Dog visits where dozens of children gave them lots of hugs, kisses, and love. They are GREAT Therapy Dogs!!!
They did not get to experience turkey but they are enjoying their lamb and rice puppy mush!!! They go snorkeling with a vengeance, make a HUGE mess, and then enjoy Momma cleaning them up just as much. Nothing like Momma’s tongue to make them sleepy!!! No matter how hard I try, I just can’t seem to quiet them in the same way!!! Maybe my tongue isn’t quite as long!!! J Weaning them has begun much to Docie’s delight !!! All pups are eating very well, 3 times a day for now, but down to 2 times a day by the time they are homeward bound.
They have gotten to be sooo much fun!!! Lots of tummy rubs, hopping, jumping and running, and then power naps in my lap. They’re really starting to develop their own little personalities, their teeth are definitely coming in - all look GOOD, and they are learning how to use them!!!! They get new toys to play with every day to keep them learning. They all sleep together in one big family pile and never NEVER go pottey in their bedroom so I’m hoping they will have a good start on housetraining!!! They are using their litter box fairly regularly which helps keep their whelping box and playpen clean and hopefully teaches them that they need to go potty in only one place which is the idea!!!
Another toenail trim and a second worming (yuck!) but they actually like both as they are too little to realize they are being tortured!! That will come later!! J
The Holiday Hounds are a very similar group. You have to know them well to tell them apart!!! All are red wheatens, though Turk is the darkest red and Frosty is a bit silverish, all have black masks (some very slightly darker than others), none have very much white, Turk and Angel having the most, Pumpkin and Pilgrim having the least, and all are pretty close to the same size.
I have looked HARD for faults to share with you, and can only come up with the very minor crown on the top of Angels head to comment on!!! A very healthy, clean, beautiful litter whom I am very THANKFUL for and I KNOW will brighten the Christmas for whomever takes them home!!!
Missed a progress report? That's okay, you can catch up here.
