Pet? Companion? Guardian? Teacher? There are no words to describe all the things he was to us. KKR The Sundance Kid, "Dance", was our first Rhodesian Ridgeback. He was carefully selected not only because he was a beautiful pup, but because of his lineage and the clean genetics and awesome temperaments they carried. His personality was unmatched, he was wise and kind, and goofy and intensely loyal. His puppies were the same - genetically clean, conformationally correct, and wonderful companions. At the end of his life, we went on that long last walk together where, as obedient as ever, he lay down when I asked him to and we let him go with the dignity that he deserved.
