Relaxing with Pipo and Snowflake at home
- I have been a dog trainer in the Chapel Hill, NC area for over 18 years, giving group and private instruction.
- I am a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers www.apdt.com
- I evaluate new dogs every week for two local shelters, the APS of Durham, and the Orange County Animal Shelter in Chapel Hill. These shelters are filled with dogs that make great family pets. I also evalute dogs to be taken into the Independent Animal Rescue program -- a wonderful local rescue group.
- My family and I have fostered numerous puppies for the local shelters. These puppies constantly remind me that every puppy is an individual and each must be given a lot of kind, positive help to become a successful adult dog. Below are some of our recent foster puppies.
RALPHIE: Adopted
Ralphie was a tiny 5 week old puppy when he was dropped off at the Durham shelter. My family and I fostered him till he was big enough to go to a permanent home

BOBBLE: Adopted
Bobble was surrendered to the Durham shelter as a tiny puppy. We fostered him until he was big enough to go to a permanent home. He could sit in the palm of our hands when we first took him home.

SKIPPY: ADOPTED
This was my foster puppy "SKIPPY" He was13 weeks old in this picture. His Mum was a Golden retriever. My kids say he was the best foster puppy we have ever had because he was so gentle and playful. Update on Skippy: he is now a 90 pound adult and loved greatly by his permanent family.
