The following information and photos describe what I have found to be the absolute easiest way to administer pills and keep track of days and/or dosages.

I wish I could take the credit for this great idea, but it goes to Sue Sorensen...

Administering Pills

Do you have one of these handy little choppers?
If not, you can get one at Target, WalMart, etc for about $10.
Just count out the number of pills you need for each dosage
and hold the button down!

Label some plastic baggies accordingly (I generally use the day and either am or pm) and pour the granulated pills into each plastic baggie along with whatever else might help your horse eat it.  Here I used A&M and some rice bran along with some apple treats I ground up in the chopper to help give the concoction a great smell so my horse will want to dive in!  Ask your vet what he/she might recommend.  Sometimes half a teaspoon of salt can be helpful for encouraging the horse's desire to drink water.  ASK YOUR VET!

Finish it off by placing the baggies into a plastic box.  This method is so darn organized it'll definitely make whatever event caused the ordeal soooo much easier to deal with.
