About Us

Our beginnings

Our story starts about 12 years ago, when we purchased our first akita from a backyard breeder. We named him Fuji and he came with all the baggage you would expect from a so-called breeder who does no temperament or genetic testing. We tried to find help for him and found that our local training schools all used some kind of violent training methods. And none of them knew about canine language and proper communication techniques. Not being comfortable with these methods, our search for gentler training and education methods began.

We found them through reputable people like Jean Donaldson, Turid Rugaas, Karen Pryor, Suzanne Clothier and Luc Campbell from "Cyno-professionnelle Canadienne Ltee", with which Julie is certified ( M.C.P. ). We also extended our knowledge through additional studies and research, as well as seminars which we continue to attend, to update our knowledge and obtain feedback from others who share our views.

Professional Boxer breeding

We owe our beginnings to Mephisto Boxers, Bayridge Boxers and the long-distance mentoring of well-known writer, breeder, judge, and much more, Mr. Rick Beauchamp. Today, we share our home and our lives with our
Boxers, and our 2 rescue akitas.

Boxer Rescue Quebec

We also co-own and run the "Boxer Rescue of Quebec" with our partners Crystal Ryan and Chris Vinson, a non-profit organization dedicated to re-homing abandoned and/or mistreated boxers. Please visit our rescue site at

NOTE: Please purchase your puppies/dogs from a reputable breeder registered with the CKC or AKC, or a reputable rescue organization. For information on recognizing good breeders vs bad breeders, click
here. Research your breed of choice, ask lots of questions as you should be asked, and NEVER buy from a pet store since they only buy their dogs at puppy mills for very cheap prices. Dogs from puppy mills are born into this world in horrible conditions and this kind of torture must be stopped at all costs. This can only be done if you don't purchase puppies/dogs from pet stores.
