THE AMOUNT YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PAY AT THE TIME OF THE ADOPTION IS A NON-REFUNDABLE FEE. THIS IS MEANT TO REIMBURSE MAAAA FOR THE VET CARE, FEEDING AND HOUSING OF THE PETS WE HAVE RESCUED. Appropriate vaccines and spay/neuter surgery is included in our fee for each and every dog and cat that we place for adoption.

When you fill out the adoption application, you certify the answers you have given are complete, true and not misleading in any way. By completing this application you authorize MAAAA to contact landlords, associations and veterinarians which may affect the outcome of the adoption.

Please be aware that filling out an application does not guarantee an adoption will be completed for you. Attendance/Participation in a training class is a requirement for all of our dogs.

ADOPTION GUIDELINES FOR PUPPIES

• MAAAA does not adopt puppies into homes with children under the age of six years old.
• MAAAA does not adopt into homes where all adults work full time on the same shift; UNLESS there is already a plan in place so the new puppy will not be left alone for more than the three to four hours at one time.
• MAAAA requires attendance in a puppy socialization class
• MAAAA requires ALL puppies go into homes with a fenced yard (no invisible fences)
• MAAAA does not have a health warranty - we make every effort that each puppy is healthy. We are not aware of any existing health conditions at this time; once you adopt a puppy the veterinary care becomes your responsibility and could become expensive.
