BRQ gives thanks on Thanksgiving!Boxer Rescue Quebec would like to take the opportunity this Thanksgiving to thank everyone who comes together to save these special dogs. Thank you to our foster homes who give their hearts to their temporary (and sometimes not so temporary!) furry family members. Thank you to our volunteers who take the time out of their busy personal lives to interview potential families, organize fundraisers, drive our dogs to their vet appointments and hold their paws when they get a needle! Thank you to BRQ adopters who give our boxers a second chance at life. Thank you to our families who support us in our cause, don't complain when we miss a special dinner because we have to go pick up a dog at the last minute - and our parents & siblings who even take in a foster dog themselves sometimes! Thank you to the Hudson Veterinary Hospital for the great care they give to our boxers. And this brings me to our special thank you - Thank you to everyone who helped us this past summer with our darling Pearl. Whether it was help through donations, fostering, or moral support. Pearl is doing amazing with her new mom, Pat, and her new boxer brother Archie, and BRQ boxer sister, Bindi. She now weighs a healthy 37lbs and has recovered from her emergency surgery. She loves to run, to wrestle and is enjoying life on a horse farm! With your help we were able to raise apprx $2500 which helped us to cover the majority of her vet expenses. We could not have done it without you - thank you. So Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Enjoy it and save some turkey for your furry friends! Boxer wiggles and kisses to you all! Crystal, Julie, Paulo BRQ Dante's profile has been added- check him out!!
"Hi there- my name is Dante & I am looking for a forever home where I can feel secure, happy & loved...If you'd like to learn more about me, click here!!"
Greta is now available at the SPCA Jean Talon!![]() Hello, my name is Greta. I'm a beautiful, calm and gentle dog. I'm fearful, because I spent the first 4 years of my life in a puppy mill and I don't have good memories of that place. I need an owner who has experience with dogs, who is gentle, patient and who will give me time to adapt to my new home. I should ideally live with adults. I also need to develop experience with walking on a leash. If you think you would be the perfect owner for me, come by for a visit! Please call 514-735-2711 for more information! Or stop by the SPCA Jean Talon anytime! |

![]() Here at Boxer Rescue Quebec, our main goals are to rescue and re-home boxers in need, educate the public about responsible dog ownership and to preserve the reputation of the boxer breed. We also offer advice and suggestions to boxer owners who are trying to place their own boxers in forever homes themselves. And of course to assist other rescue organizations with similar goals and philosophies. Our philosophy is based on a holistic approach to all aspects of a dog's well-being. This includes education and training, nutrition and health, and behavior. Our main concern is to reduce stress and prepare the boxer for his new home and family, mentally, psychologically, emotionally and physically. A well-rounded boxer is what we aim for.
BRQ promotes responsible ownership and provides on-going support to all adopters on a permanent basis. We strongly believe that matching our boxers with the perfect owners is of primary importance and will take the time that it takes to thoroughly evaluate each boxer and its potential adopters. Our rescue prides itself in the amount of care we provide to our boxers and the support we provide to our adopters. Once a family has adopted from BRQ, they become part of our rescue family permanently.

![]() HELP SAVE A BOXER! DONATE TO BOXER RESCUE QUEBEC
As a volunteer run registered non profit CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION, we are always looking for financial support in order to better help boxers in need and those that require special attention and/or have special medical needs. We do not receive any regular funding and rely solely on donations and fundraising to survive. We have no large pet food companies or other corporate sponsors giving us money.
These are some of the expenses rescue pays for in preparation for the adoption of a rescue to a new forever home. Not to mention the special cases where a rescue is severely malnourished, underweight or, ill and needing specialized treatment. Every boxer rescued receives these treatments prior to adoption: Spay/Neuter Vaccines Heartworm test/treatment/pills Flea-tick check/treatment Stool analysis Full health examination Antibiotics and medications if needed Boarding fee Surgery when needed ( health issues ie. lumps, broken limbs ) X RAYS when needed ![]() A big thank you to everyone who has been involved with BRQ this past year to volunteer their time or to contribute by sending monetary donations to help these rescues! If you would like to make a donation, please contact us via email by clicking here OR
Go to our DONATE page and click on the DONATE button to make your donation online.
Any donation is graciously accepted & appreciated whether it be $1, $5, 20$ or more. Every little bit helps. We can always use additionnal help from volunteers particularly with fostering, transporting and fundraising. Contact us for more information.
Your donation does not have to be strictly monetary. We are also always looking for any items that you may not need anymore or that you would like to donate to rescue: Crates, bowls, collars, leashes, food or food gift certificates, healthy treats, blankets, towels, toys etc...
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING RESCUE!
