Just wanted to let you know that Fergus is fitting in very well. Poor Tyson
doesn't know what hit him - he's not use to having a teenager in the house!
He loves being with Ron and I ~ and the rest of the family for that matter.
I'll fill you in on how he does over the week. It really is like having a
new baby in the house! I sent announcements to our friends and family that
we are proud parents again! Thanks again for letting us give Fergus the
home that he deserves.

Otis and MaxJust wanted to give you an update on Max and Otis. They have settled in quite well and our family feels complete again with two amazing boxers. Max is very hyper but so spirited with a great zest for life and how can one resist those round eyes of his! He makes us laugh when he chases tiny butterflies and his own shadow! Otis is a big Mommas boy and it's extremely hard to resist his constant affection. This past wknd he couldn't wait to get in to his K-9 life jacket to swim in my parents salt water pool while sniffing the aroma of the jersey cows that he just adores! After his swim, the 5 of us sit around in the patio chairs while Max chews on his bone. I really do think Otis is half human. We love them equally and appreciate their different personalities. We can't wait to share many more experiences with them in years to come! |

Laura & Billy" target="_self">
Just wanted to give you all quick update on Billy (who has taken to his new name very well). He has done nothing but surprised us over the last 24 hours. He has adapted very well. He's calm and quiet, loves the kids and wants nothing more than to play with balls and eat. He's hasn't had any accidents and loves walking on his leash (but is a little timid). Right now he is asleep at my feet. He has obviously found his home. We often find him asleep in his cage with his blanket and ball! Last night we closed him in it and we didn't hear a peep from him all night.
Billy is very smart. He is always looking to us for approval. I'm amazed at how well he is responding to "sit, stay, heel" as well as his new name.
I believe this is going to be quite a success story! I'll keep you updated.
Thank you Julie and Crystal for answering all my questions over email, your help was greatly appreciated!

Bindigood morning crystal...we thought we would send news of bindi and what she is up to...she has totally settled in here...we have about 2000 sticks scattered around outside courtesy of herself and how she feels about outdoor decor!! our older boxer is sweet and tolerant with her and allows her to climb on his head and gnaw on his legs and neck when she wants his attention!! in the car she likes to sit on his head while she looks out the window and barks at strangers!! she is very smart,is able to go in search of her stuffed bunny when asked to, and although she shakes it and throws it in the air, it still has it's arms, legs and ears(but no stuffing!!) Her anxiety over being alone in a room is almost gone and although she still cries when people leave the house, she frequently goes off by herself to sleep....she can shake a paw...she goes to sleep with the other dog on their bed at night but usually i wake up with her next to me ....she has gained a lot of weight but it has not been easy since she needs to constantly be reminded to finish her meals....taking time to eat is not at the top of her to-do list!!! We all are crazy about her, as is anyone who has met her. |

SidHi Melissa & Crystal, |

Winston aka WilsonI just wanted to let you know that Winston aka.Wilson is getting along famously. He is a perfect fit with the entire family, are you ready for this ? including Max. There have been no issues at all. They walk beautifully together, like an old married couple actually. Max has been amazing and Winston as well. He is very careful to be gentle around Max who seems to appreciate the gesture. Anyway, he is doing well, has adjusted well to his crate and snored all night long his first night here on his bed next to ours.
Thanks to you both for helping us to get him so quicky. We love him and he has found his home forever and ever.

Caelyn aka ChaylaChayla is a bundle of joy...she is so hyper....we take her open field at night with a ball...she loves her tennis balls. And she brings her squeeker stuffy toy everywhere. Last weekend, we taught her to swim, in her life jacket...we throw the tennis ball and she swims anywhere for it...great exercise. I've never seen a dog run so fast, like a jack rabbit. |
|
HarleyJust thought that I would drop you a line to tell you that Harley is doing really well. He is a great dog. He just loves to play and run and I think that he is losing some weight. My grandson really had fun with him. Friday we went shopping and he was just fine alone. I am so happy that we adopted him. He will bring alot of pleasure to our lives. He will meet our other grandchildren on Monday. They are so excited to meet him. I really want to thank you for giving Harley to us. |
|
Rooney aka ChummyAs you can see Rooney is a very contented boy, he has adapted extremely well to his new home. He enjoys alot of physical activity and is almost as good a soccer player as his namesake. He is very well behaved in the house, enjoys to partake in all aspects of household activities. Rooney is very relaxed in his surroundings and abounds with affection. A magnificent fellow with a great disposition and a very welcome addition to the family. |

CasperCasper is a treat! He has settled in and doing fantastically well. We have a great laugh trying to get him to walk on grass, something he isn’t happy about! Neither dog will go out willingly when it rains unless I go first! Riggs and Casper walk side by side like a team and play together all the time. Riggs still sleeps on our room on her floor pillow while Casper has taken up position on the couch. When I am working at my laptop Casper likes to put his head on my lap and occasionally bump my hand or place his head on the keyboard – ya think he wants something???

NellyGood Morning, |

RoxyHere's the update so far. |

NikoHi BRQ! We get tons of boxer wiggles from him and our other 1 year old boxer Sammie, everyday. |
|
Rosie aka GucciWe just wanted to send a note of appreciation to BRQ for the wonderful new addition to our clan! Our new girl Rosie (formerly Gucci) has us in stitches and has been warmly welcomed by her canine brother Atos and her feline sister Mia. We now have a complete Boxer family! We have the Boxer-Wiggles and kisses times 2! A special thanks to Crystal, Julie and Paulo for the great job they did looking after her! |
|
ZorroZorro is so cute, and he is such a baby. The kids are getting along so far. They play tug with a toy, Zorro usually wins and Chicka gets dragged around. He's been introduced to Kane (Chicka's buddy) and Lily - they seem to be fine. He is so clumsy, yesterday he hit a wall unit with his head in the darkness. Right now it seems like he wants to learn to play guitar, he stares at it while Luis is playing. He is so much fun!! And we would like to thank Sylvie for taking good care of Zorro while he was waiting for his perfect home. He will get here as much love as he can handle. |
|
VictorVictor is doing fantastic and is so well behaved that is is impossible for us to believe that someone didn't want him!!! |
|
BenjaminWell we are definately thankful for having Benji - he is settling in very well - we are home now in Belleville. He was funny at the cottage and was not too interested in the lake - he did not want to get his feet wet at all. Thank you very much - his manner is very much like our old girl and we love him already and I really think he is happy here so far. He did not pay too much attention to Oscar (our cockatiel) one look and that was it. |

DingoDingo has settled into her new home quite well. She even has a new best friend, a Black Lab puppy named Ripley who belongs to our neighbors. We try to time their walks together and whenever Dingo sees that Ripley is outside, she gets really excited. We've also discovered that Dingo loves hiking through the woods behind our house...yesterday she went chasing after a ground-hog. She can also be very mischievous...last week, she stole a French baguette from the counter and devoured the entire thing! By the time we came home, she had eaten about 2/3 of it, but we managed to get a few pictures. One of her favorite games is to be chased around the house...she'll pick up one of her toys and when we try to take it from her, she runs...she can do this for over an hour and the only way we can take the toy from her is to distract her with another toy. She has the most devilish look on her face because she knows that we can never catch her! I call this game "Catch Me if You Can". |

SpencerDear Boxer rescue,
|
|
Campbell aka MooseHe is the most wonderful dog I have ever met! He is laying on me right now and snoring!!!!! He was great when he met us, even better in the car!!! And the cats.... he smelled one and walked away... how crazy good this that. He has exceeded out expectations!! He is great with our son too! He has settled right in and we just got home. We have some large balls with air in them and he batted those around like a crazy man, I'm so happy he feels comfortable to do that! |
|
ShadowShadow is doing great! He is getting used to our house and yard, and is even used to our cats now. A little sniff here and there, and he pays no attention to them at all. He is such a huge loveable boy, a giant lap dog to be honest. He just loves to be around people all of the time and is so excited when we get home from work. He hasn't had any more accidents in the house since our first night with him, and he is learning our routine very quickly. |
|
Chopper"Just a update - Chopper is doing well, he has settled in to his new home well and is adapting well - he still doesn't like other dogs but that will come in time - when the time is right - he is doing well with my son. Hey guess what - we discovered today - Chopper LOVES the water - Jim was hosing down the garbage can and the patio stones and Chopper was right in there attacking and playing in the water " |
|
Charlie and CashewWe're really glad to have them home. We're all starting to settle into a comfortable routine. Of course that's all but the cat who is quite sure he likes 8 big paws in his house. It's been interesting to learn about their individual personalities. Charlie is a happy go lucky guy. Nothing seems to bother him, except perhaps missing out on a treat. Cashew on the other hand is a Princess. The other day she wasn't allowed to come in the car to work with me. This disappointed her since they usually go for the ride when Karin drops me at the bus. Apparently she blamed Karin and wouldn't cuddle with her for the entire day. We find it quite humorous when she gets in one of her snits. She still does what she's supposed to, but reluctantly. Hence her new name is Princess Cashew. |
|
Mayacrystal, here are a few pics of maya that i have taken so far. thank you all so much for matching us with such a wonderful dog. we couldn't have asked for more. she is very good natured and is very gentle with our two cats. she has settled into her new home like she has always been here. thanks again to boxer rescue quebec, i'll be sure to stay in touch. krista |

Buster BrownWhen we first decided we wanted a boxer, we weren't sure whether to rescue a pooch or get a pup from a breeder. We are THRILLED with our decision to rescue. Although Buster has had a pretty tough life up to now (abandoned at least 3 times in his first year) you would never guess it. He loves everyone and gives lots of boxer wiggles and kisses. He makes us laugh everyday with his antics -- he's a true clown! We couldn't be happier -- Buster is our little prince!! Thank you Crystal, Julie and Paulo for saving all these wonderfull pooches, and for all your help. Keep up the good work, you guys are amazing!! |
|
DiamondHey Crystal Just wanted to give you an update on how Diamond is doing... Everything has been great he fit right in like he has lived with us our whole life.... He gets along great with the kids they curl up on the floor and watch tv together it is the cutest thing.... Once again I want to thank you and Paulo and Julie for the opportunity that you have given our family we couldn't have asked for a better addition to the family.... Take Care Karla |
|
Taz"He's doing wonderfully...he's a big hit in our little area...I"m not sure if I told you this in the last e-mail but he has a love interest. There is a female six year old fawn who lives behind my sister and I, so they get together every weekend for a play 'date'. Her owner and I laugh watching them play...they just LOVE each other! He's very healthy and happy. My dad absolutely LOVES him, so if I'm going to be out for the better part of the day doing errands I leave him with dad so that he's not alone. He's got quite the personality! I couldn't be happier with him." |
|
Daisy BassDaisy was rescued from deathrow at the local SPCA and nursed back to health after having a tumor removed from her ear. She then found her skin soul mate in Lisa, who now shares her life (and bed) with her in downtown Montreal. Thank you Lisa for giving this old girl a wonderfully cushy new life. Look at Daisy smile! |
|
Maggie WadeI just wanted to let you both know that Jonas and I love Maggie so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is doing well and she is spoiled rotten here. She gets atleast 4-5 walks a day. Usually an hour at the dog park. She seems pretty happy. She has tried to get on the school bus with Jonas which is funny. We could not have asked for a better dog! She's amazing. |
|
Maggie Gormerly"Its going to be a year soon but i though you would like to see BOTOX (maggie). You would not believe how many people stop me when we are walking . Just to see Botox. She was been the best thing in are life. Thank-you. If you find another one like her give me a call. it would be my pleasure to do it again." |
